    Has anyone replaced the driver side door lock on a B6??

    I can tell you the trunk lock on my B6 is like that.
    Also you need the key, or it will not come apart.

    why are you replacing the door lock? i pulled mine out because it was seized up and the key would not even go in it. soaked it in brake fluid a few days and then kept working the key in it trying to twist it up and free the frozen parts in the cylinder, after about tn minutes of working it it now works great.

    I may be grabbing new doors and would want to swap in my lock cylinder from my old doors.

    I've swapped out the door locks its very easy to do all you have to do is remove the black plastic plug adjacent to the lock inside the edge of the door loosen the small torx screw and pull the lock out.

    I didn't look at the video yes that's how to remove the lock assembly is removed.
