With K04's and a stage 3, what should my boost be?

You can see my video in my mechanical boost gauge install thread. I'm only running 17 sustained, peaks at about 20.

Is that right? I was thinking should be a bit higher. Not sure exactly how accurate my gauge is of course, but it did get mostly good reviews, with one reviewer bench testing it and saying it was right on.

Thoughts?

stage 3 should be 22 to 24 psi... im guessing you got a "soft" tune for your stock tip trans!

Thanks. That's kinda what I was expecting, at least 22. But dropping a couple in the tune for the tip makes sense as well. I guess I'll say "close enough". If I was told should be 25-30 then I'd be a bit concerned.

im running 22psi to redline... id try 24psi :)

You offering a tune?

The K04's and tune were done by the previous owner, I've just spent a lot of time and effort (but not a whole lot of $$$) straightening out quite a few problems that he couldn't seem to get right. Now it runs very, very good.

But I don't know exactly which/who's tune it is running, just it's "stage 3". It very well may be an 034Motorosports tune, all the other mods it started with seem to be from, or the equivalent to their K04 stage 3 package. Which is one reason I bought the car a year ago.....I paid less than just the package from 034Motorsports.....and the car itself is in great condition. I was gonna reach out to DAZ for a new tune....but obviously that did not work out. Horrible news there.

that sounds sweet. i wish my car was modded out like that when i got it. in that case id' bet your tc and tcu were probably upgraded too.

yeah... heard about DAZ it's unfortunate...
