    What's up Audizine
Just got a set of Koni 8240 spot shocks for deal I couldn't pass up.
The dude said he ran them for 35k miles I was like sweet, but apon geting then I figured out that he wasn't the original owner still nonetheless was good deal so I took them.

He told me they need a rebuild they don't come back up fast but I can hear a little bit of air when pressed.
I don't know exactly where to even look for place to rebuild them or just hit up Koni.

I was told that people do it themselves? Couldn't find much info on that.

If anyone has good suggestions to rebuild them I'm all ears
    Thanks
    -Josh

there's a handful of places that will rebuild kodi shocks (all of which come up with a simple google search) but in many cases the rebuild cost exceeds the cost of a new shock, so it's really only useful for the higher-end/motorsports stuff. Doesn't hurt to inquire though.

I contacted koni about rebuilding a set of 8240s about a year ago, and I was quoted $100 each. I opted to buy new ones. Also, you can't judge a shock by how fast or whether or not it extends on it's own after compressing. That is determined by the rebound valving. It is not uncommon for a race/performance shock to stay compressed. That being said, I think those do rebound on ther own slowly if I remember right.

Yes they do rebound very slowly I do not see any oil from them and there pretty hard to pull or push I have pretty blown stock struts on my car I will give these a try if they last even a little while I'll call it a worth buying. I paid 30 bucks for them...

They are only rebound adjustable, so if they are adjusted to full stiff, they will rebound very slowly. For $30, I would throw them on and see how they do. If they need a rebuild, you will still only be out what a new set would cost. You might even be able to get custom valving done too. I'm not sure if they do that on that part number, but it's available on some of their other dampers.
