Grocery hook in the trunk

Does anyone have any feed back on purchasing these off eBay? Which ones did you get? I am not sure if the holes would line up to the ones in the trunk. This would be for 2016 S3. Thanks

i took out the ones on my 2004 A4 and installed them on my s3. im thinking they may be universal.

I tried to nab the hooks from my 2012 S4 when I got my S3, and they had completely different mounting points. Luckily the dealer just hooked me up with a new set for the S3.

you need 2 clamps per hook, so if you get 2 hooks you need 4 clamps total.

I bought from aliexpress.com and they aren't very useful since the trunk height is so limited. Buying the trunk net is far better for securing groceries or other items.

Yes, i do find that the trunk's height is too low for the bags to hang. And they need to hang in order for them to stay on the hook.

So they just bolted up without any drilling?

I think the only difference are the screws needed. The ones I got from aliexpress had different screws than these from ECS https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...5867615cqtckt/

You need the right clips to install properly.

I am confused...isn't there already a grocery hook in the trunk? Are you trying to add a second one?

I added a second one to my car. I bought it from ECS tuning before mroberte posted about getting his so cheap from aliexpress.
Though when you get it from ECS it's the complete oem kit with screws and screw clips. I have yet to use either one lol I mainly just
shop at sam's club so items are rarely put in bags since it's wholesale. And if I do go to target or stop & shop I usually just put them on the
passenger seat. So this was a wasted purchase but cool I guess lol.

I got mine from ECS tuning, they have a kit that includes the hooks and the clips to mount them. Install is super easy, just two screws per hook. Be careful with the clips though, it is easy to loose them into the trunk lid.

very easy to loose. put the screws in the grocery hook, then snap it in to the trunk. but im sure you all know that. haha
