    Aftermarket seats Recaro,Sparco,Sabelt

Although I love the seats in my RS5, I still feel it lacks the support I'm craving for.
I used to have Recaro sportsters in my M3 but it didn't have enough thigh and side support. I'm not looking for fixed back seats. I really love these Sabelt's but damn they are expensive. Anyone have some suggestion?

Cobra makes a great seat, but I don't think anyone has solved the passenger seat occupancy sensor issue

Unless your track it quite often, otherwise I think you will definitely miss company of the silk fine napa, especially when stuck in the traffic or cruising on a road trip

Some aftermarket seats do look great but lacking of comfort and convenience

Maybe V8star can chime in regarding the sensor. It was his recent thread that got me thinking.

Mine are fixed, very comfy I might add (for fixed)... But I am running them for support/safety first.

Still no resolution to the airbag sensor but we have not put a lot of effort towards it.

Really enjoying these and the harness bars/belts

How about finding a pair of Recaro on eBay out of an R8 or RS5? Standard fitment so no issues making adapters.

Give Ales a shout on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/littledevi...1&_ipg=&_from=

He may be able to source some for you.

I've been considering these for quite some time: http://www.tecnocraft.com/Tecnocraft...-Seat-P39.aspx

They're not cheap... but neither is an RS5. :)

Amazingly, these seats only weigh 6.5lbs each... not likely suitable for long drives, but the longest drive I ever do is to the track.

Those Sabelt SPS are beyond gorgeous. For the price point though it would be a tough pick between those and the factory Euro RS5 buckets / Recaros.

Love my Recaro Sportsters. I feel like the thigh and side support is great for a daily driver, better than the RS5 sport seats for sure.

Did you by chance have the cross sportsters, as they provide less support.

Occupancy sensor is easy, just transfer from your original seat along with seatbelt buckle wiring harness. I haven't done this yet, too many cars and not enough time, but its on the agenda.

If you don't mind me asking how much did the seats and brackets run? I didn't know they have 2 different sportsters. Thanks

Ive put these in the cart and took them out at least 5x. Your photo just put them back in my cart I think. I love the fit, feel, and finish of the Sportster. Great choice and upgrade.

Not sure if you've seen the Sparco SPX yet (they release in September), but that seat looks gorgeous and ticks the two boxes I want for seats in this car: leather and exposed carbon.

Not sure if this price is correct or not. They say this is the same seat that comes in the new Alfa Romeo and the lotus. But damn expensive.
