I feel like buying Ebay kits isn't a good idea.

Can't go wrong with Kraft Automotive brand...

Your suspension looks like mine, tired and time to be changed.

Your inner tie rod joints are probably good. Is that the Meyle HD control arm kit? Also how many miles on the arms?

Unfortunately they were on the car when I got it. They should be OEM.

They are not OEM. My Meyle HD has the exact same blue stickers (tighten with suspension loaded) on them. Hence why I am curious of the mileage when they failed.

That kraft kit is a nice price! How much better is that 034 than the kraft kit?

    034 street density $440
    URO 8E0498510A = $190
    URO 8D0498998 = $150
    Flennor 8D0498998 = $320
    OEM TRW/Lemfoerder = $1200

    The URO kit looks tempting!!!

My comment about the Kraft Auto being a good deal was sarcastic.
While this photo is a Febi arm on a heavy D2, he was only doing 15-20mph on flat ground, I would avoid cheap alternatives:

That was in 2006 and things sure have probably changed with the Febi arms, but something to consider when spending less than 200 bucks on a complete control arm kit.

Its too bad there arent many long term reviews of control arms, havent seen anyone post in the 60,000mile range report on aftermarket arms yet. That would be a good testament to which arms are superior to others in the aftermarket world. I'm going with Meyle HD for my next set this weekend and plan on keeping the vehicle for many years to come, will certainly post failure photos when they happen.

I ordered the 034 Density line kit. I'll be installing Timken wheel bearings, new hubs, bilstein B6 struts and shocks, stock springs, new front axles this weekend.

Will I need to readjust the control arms after a few miles or a break in period because of the new suspension? I can load the suspension with jack stands but I gotta believe it's gonna dial itself in a bit more with time ya know? Maybe a readjustment is in order after a while? Maybe I could have a couple people sit in the car to help load it some more. More normal any way I weigh 165 must make some kind of difference.

I replaced all my front upper arms, lower arms and outer tie rods with the Meyle HD kit (10 pcs). Removing those blasted pinch bolt were an absolute nightmare to be honest . It's been 3 years and 30,000Km and solid as a rock today.

While I did mine with the uprights on the car, you may have better luck if you remove the upright (spindles?!?) and pound out the pinch bolts on the bench. I saw somewhere that you can get a tool to remove the bolts if you break the head off when trying to turn the pinch bolt, it doesn't look too promising IMHO.

I just kept pounding it with a hammer and punch and also with an air chisel with a punch attachment. Eventually it popped out. Not easy though. I took a couple of nicks to the inside of my fenders while I was at it => touch up paint to keep it from rusting.

Make sure you anti-seize the crap out of the non-threaded part of your new pinch bolts before you them back in. This step saved me when I had to remove my passenger side upright to press out my wheel bearing last year because the pinch bolt came out with minimal effort and didn't break.

Also to remember to tighten bolts to spec with suspension loaded.

The new wheel hubs come with the ring section that goes between the Hub and the axle bolt. When I was removing my old hub bearing assembly mine fell out and I thought I was going to have to keep them and reuse them possibly. Just an FYI for anyone who might see this later on. The hubs are optimal, they came from Germany. I got them for $33 each on eBay with free shipping. I'm concerned about the pitting and the oxidation on the aluminum steering knuckles. As of this moment I guess I plan to reuse them. They got a lot of abuse while trying to remove the pinch bolts.
