    75k DSG Fluid Change

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm about to schedule a visit to get my 75k DSG Fluid/Filter Changed on my B8 and was wondering if I need to buy any new stretch bolts. Specifically I have a alu kreuz drivetrain stabilizer and it uses stretch bolts. Obviously when changing the DSG fluid you need to take the alu Kreuz off. So should I purchase new stretch bolts? Basically my question is, other then the filters and the DSG fluids do I need anything else for my 75k DSG fluid change? Lastly, the shop where I plan to take it charges $600 for a DSG Fluid change filter, etc. Do you think that's a reasonable/fair price? Happy 4th and thank for the advice in advance.

im pretty sure the dealer will charge about $750 or so, so $600 seems fair.

Do I need to replace any stretch bolts when I do the DSG change or am I good? According to the shop there is no bolts to replace, they just do the DSG fluid filter change and that's it.

Not a problem with the stock brace, but seems the Alukruez doesn't factor dsg fluid change.... Definitely in the way of the drain plug
Keep right pass left, it's the law!!

So when I remove the Alu kruez because its in the way of the drain plug should I get new stretch bolts for my Alu Kruez or just reuse the bolts? I remember reading on here somewhere about needing to replace a total 15 bolts when you do the DSG fluid change. Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

^ Rule of thumb is to replace and torque properly when using stretch bolts.

15 bolts? There's 15 bolts holding the AK to the subframe? ;) If you want to be safe, replace those stretch bolts. The Audi repair manual asks for it, but I've seen Audi mechanics reuse them all the time.
