Getting a misfire code and a few powertrain codes which i think are related to the misfire. How accessible are the spark plugs?

Find Coil packs .... Pull up coil pack and you should find a spark plug...

I was being sarcastic in the way you phrased your question .... I would surely hope you did know... I just recently bought an 05 allroad ( 2.7TT :-) but also have a B6 S4 4.2 so I don't see much difference either than in the C5 / A6 platform, the V6 will be easier to work on with a bit more space in the engine bay ... In the 3 weeks I've owned it I have only done the air intake filter... It had just been overhauled at Hoffmans before I bought it. One owner, extremely fastidious on anything not up to spec...
Have a Bentley manual arriving in a couple weeks, bonus is that it covers both the 2.7TT V6 and the 4.2 V8 motor .. I will need it since I'm planning on (1) the 402 mode (2) A catback exhaust which I'll fabricate myself as I did for the S4 (3) Probably a stage I chip and minor performance upgrades. Has to be a DD first and foremost.

    Cheers

Sorry, i have had 2 hours of sleep. Did a ton of work on my S4 to turn around and discover this issue on the Allroad, which had escalated. I swapped plugs, no more codes. Although I still get the occasional shudder. When accelerating, the service engine light flashes then goes away. Any idea? I had it taken to get a used car inspection, cane back clean. This just started last night. I am going to call the place that did the inspection and find out what the hell.

Looking like it might be the ICM, i see there is 2 of them. Anyone happen to know where cyl 4 module would be at in the engine bay?

If your allroad is 2005 with push-in coilpacks there are no external ICM's ... possible coilpack going south

I pulled the coil packs. Changed plugs. I randomly put the coil packs back in. How would i get the coil pack back in the same exact spot. Still saying misfire cyl 4? Why would mine not have an ICM, googled it and so far everyone says ICM.

Edit.... So, I guess I did somehow put that same coil pack in the same position. I went and swapped it with cyl 5 and that was it. Thanks, man its been a bad weekend, intake manifold on my S4 took a dump, need to get a replacement for that now. at least the Allroad is back up and running.
