My journey with CEL coming to an end soon.

I figured I would give an update in the event someone else has similar issues.

I took my car to a shop that does APR tunes as my generic code puller wasnt providing me with enough info and google was not able to pin point a solid fix. My codes at the time were

    P0237
    P0106
    P0642
    P0089
    P2014
    P2015
    P2004

So I prepare for the worst and they systematically address the issues. First was the Intake flap codes (P2014, P2015, P2004) they installed the runner flap delete and gave me the corresponding software. Instantly those codes were gone. They also did a valve cleaning since they said it was pretty gunked up in there which likely lead to all the misfire issues I was having.

Next they narrowed the P0089 issue to a bad intank fuel pump (also contributing to misfires as the pump couldnt meet the demands at high rpms). I needed a new line for the pump since only one clip was left and whoever installed the pump last either mangled the other three clips or saw it and didnt feel the need to inform me. I luckily avoided a need to drop the tank so i was able to avoid the extra labor.

Everything seemed somewhat good so I took it for a drive and the turbo flutter came back (sounded like the DV but i recently replaced it with a DV+) and the CEL came back and it was the P0642. There were 2 other codes (i didnt write them down when they explained it to me) that have been consistently returning and their diagnosis lead to a bad ECU, which could also explain the DV flutter as a messed up ECU may cause the DV to not operate correctly. So as it stands, I am awaiting an ECU and when it arrives I will have them program it to my car along with the APR tune. In the mean time my car is in limp mode so I cant drive too crazy. It has been a long journey and I hope to have a fully fixed car in a week. Just wanted to share my progress in case someone else has similar issues.

Yes, but with my limited tools and knowledge, "check module" doesn't tell me much as I don't know what to look for. Am I checking voltages? Am I looking for a loose wire? Ya know?
