    Plastic piece in Crankcase area

So I was taking out my crankcase breather & pcv piping to put the 034 in and after I took it out it was some sort of small plastic piece that was sitting in the opening and when I went for it....it dropped 😮😩.

So I tried to fish around in there it felt like a boxed in area with a plastic grille vent I thought I had the plastic piece & dropped again but now I don't feel it in there anymore. Idk if ot fell thru the grille or what. Kinda freakin out. Is this something to be alarmed about?

What you're feeling is the gasket that sits between the block and the filter pedestal. If I were you, I would pull the oil filter pedestal off and fish out any plastic pieces you dropped in.

The plastic piece wont do any harm, it will stay at the bottom of the pan.

I used OGs method of duct taping a flexible hose to a shop vac and got 2 more pieces out. I'm vacuumed for about 10 mins just to make sure. It's running fine now. I heard for a GTI guy he had the same problem but left it in there and it cause no harm. In case this happens to anyone else.
