Cylinder in intake manifold and retaining clips

when I removed the intake manifold, during my tare down for the cam shaft replacement, I saw these plastic clips resting at the entrance to the intake valves on the head. Also a little plastic cone as well.

Looking through others' posts I discovered the clips came off of the cylinder inside the intake manifold. I am not sure about the plastic cone though.

Does anyone know what the cone goes to and also where can I get these parts as one of the clips is broken?

The cone is an alignment pin for the intake manifold. Easy to break off removing or reinstalling the intake manifold.

I had the exact same experience. Glad to know I'm not alone in my refurbishing! I found mine in the intake runners.

I also dislodged this neat little washer from the rear of the upper intake manifold changeover actuator- Ended up pulling the UIM to shake it out of the runner:

you can see the threaded part that the cone broke off of still in the hole just to the left of the cone.

    thanks sinful7,
I have not attempted this fix yet.

I want to see if the car starts up well since my head rebuild, before I spend another $400.
