    Clear lens swap question

So I swapped the sti-r lens into my bi xenons without any luck. TRS then suggested the Zkw-r lenses. They are better, but I find the actual light output less than with the stock lenses. Up against the wall, the ZKW-R lens has a better cutoff but blotchy light output. I used two washers to space the lens as I read here. Any tips? Is this a focus issue? Or am I just wasting my time?
