    Black/Red trunk S4 badge comparison

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I had previously purchased a black/red S4 badge from ebay, which turned out to be smaller than OEM.

Recently came across http://audibadges.com/audi_sline_badges.html - the 37mm badge matches the dimensions of the OEM trunk badge. They also sell the smaller 32mm badge that many ebay sellers have listed.

Here's a picture for an idea of size and color of these badged. OEM is in the center.

    Thank you for the pictures.

Was planning on doing something similar to my car once I get around to "De-chroming" it.

Do you know off hand how big the rear rings are on our cars?

I know they are either 7.5" or 7.6".

Once I know the correct size I will probably order a set.

7.5 iirc. I found perfect matches for the front and rear rings.

Pretty sure the seller was bmy8813

Thank you guys for the links.

I ordered a set of black rings and "S4".

Probably won't put them on until I black out the rear valance but, I am sure they will look good!

Anyone know where to source a "cheaper" black grille badge?

Just an FYI, the 7.5" from audibadges.com rings are not quite the same as the OEMs. (I'm reaching out to them but, I believe that is just how they are)

For those of you that bought Ebay ones, can you confirm they were the same?

If so, can you provide me a link? (I believe these look about right: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121613831181)

I have not decided how much it bugs me yet.

    ------------------------------------------------

The backend does look much better now regardless.

Next on the to-do's is to blackout the rear valance and smoke the taillights, I'm just waiting on some decent weather. (It has been raining all week!)

i have the ebay ones and they look like the ones you bought from audibadges.com. the spacing between the rings aren't as wide as oem.

I used the Laminx tail light tint and they turned out great, you don't even know it's there.

Is that the lightest tint they offer?

They have several shades to choose from, I believe what I have is the lightest.

Damn. Thanks. I just ordered that and it's still too dark for me. Will probably darken the amber more than I would like on my Euro tails.

Will probably end up selling it.

I don't believe it's as dark as you think. It looks quite good out in the daylight.

Funny thing, I ordered a set of Laminx tint last Wednesday

I went with the "Gun-smoke" which is the second lightest. Hopefully it isn't too dark.

Once I get another nice day I will blackout the valance.

Also, the proper RS4 grille finally came in.

Haven't decided if I want to put that on now or wait until the Coldfront system comes in.
