I'd prefer to get a busted one at little to no cost. I've read guys tossing the bad ones out and since I'll be cutting it in half I'd rather not take a workin unit off the market. Trying to keep the good items for those in need instead of destroying them for personal gains. The one listed is in perfect condition no issue at all. I wud cut it up but then I'm sure I'd get a message asking if it's still for sale. Which then I would forward them to you now I know!

I just took my covers off and was gonna clean them up and paint them(doing a whole engine project) but if it works we can trade. I wanted to paint them red but the black looks good too.

What is the intended project for broken valve covers?

PM vce1232000. I gave him a stock valve cover from a transverse engine to keep his head clean on the trip back after I replaced a valve for him. He may still have it. The transverse VCs are the same except for the raised oil cap.

EPY modded a bust valve cover to protect the back side of the cam gears from debris getting in there. Requires cutting the front part off and moldings/shaving/cutting it to fit. Just want to keep all the new highly expensive parts in new motor as clean as possible.

Audi4.2: I'm not sure of what yours is off of?? 1.8T?? Or is they from a 4.2??? But it doesn't look like what I need.

Found it another vc you can have for free. The 1 that aluthman gave me was shipped with the cylinder head to another member. I will ship it to your address tommarrow
