Tips for headlight washer nozzle replacement.

The end part of the driver side nozzle has come off, and I have the replacement nozzle "cylinder".

I have searched but only find older models in which the bumper has to comes off. According to the Bentley manual, you remove the inner liner, to gain access to the cylinder, and then disconnect the line, and then release the clips, and slide it out.

I'm just checking to see if anyone has done this and has any tips. You can actually get to the cylinder by removing the front fog grill, but then your hands are not at the correct angle to work the clips.

Any help/tips would be appreciated, and I'll try and take some pics, and offer tips when I tackle this this weekend.

I can confirm this is an easy repair for the B5/B5.5 cars. You do need to remove the front portion of the Fender liner. Several screws, and some plastic locking washers. There are two 10mm plastic nuts holding a bracket above the driveline, and I removed this too. Then, I peeled back the liner.

You have good access to the cylinder. Remove the clip that connects the line, and remove the line. You will loose some washer fluid. The cylinder has two "wing" clips, 180 degree opposite of each other. I used a screw driver to bend the top clip, disengaging it. Then, I used a screw driver on the lower clip, pried it bak and pulled the cylinder straight out.

Installed the new cylinder, reconnected the line, and clip. Tested it all, and then buttoned everything up.
