Been calling around Nj and been quoted 6-7k for service. Any places I can try?

Most of our V8 timing jobs run between $4-7k depending on how much needs to be replaced. Unfortunately it's a labor intensive process and the parts list can get pretty heavy.

Drive Auto Works will probably be your best bet and most cost-effective route, Ron.

We would be happy to provide you with a detailed quote with options to suit your budget. 5-9k is typically the norm for a job like this just based off the labor hours it takes complete alone. We have become very efficient on these jobs and do multiple jobs per year. You can certainly do this job cheaper, but at what cost. When spending this money on a repair its best to be done right and that's the only way we know how to do it.

Feel free to shoot me an e-mail and I will make sure you get the proper quote you need.
