So some kid decided that playing basketball next to my car was a great idea. Put a dent in my rear qtrr panel above the wheel well next to the trunk. It's not on any body lines or anything. I got some of it out with a pops a dent but I think it's slightly over pulled. I'm taking it in for PDR Thursday. Anyone had any success in this area?

I haven't had PDR on my B8, but on a previous car. IMO it all comes down to the experience and skill of you PDR guy. I was happy with the results when PDR texhniquies were used on my last car. Posting a picture may help us see your damage.

A little bit of duck tape should take care of the problem. The problem is obviously the kid...

Worst part was that the kids parents were watching him play the whole time and could care less about my car. If my kid did that I would be livid.

They may not be so casual ~ it if you file a claim against them. Sometimes it takes a loss in revenue, oops I mean money, for people to start caring ~ other people's property, w/a subsequent increase in their premium, may have them changing their tune. Hit them up for the$ to repair & see what happens. Currently going thru a similar issue w/a lawn care company. Kid was weed whacking in a Walgreens & I just happened to be sitting in my wife's 2015 Q7 when he kicked up a piece of concrete that scratched & dented the RRQ panel down to the metal. Needs dent removed & respray/blending of entire QP. So far so they've been very agreeable but no $ has been paid out yet. Keep me posted if you would please. Thx & good luck.

My parents would'a whooped my ass, and my dad would have made me bust my ass around the house and yard all summer to pay for whatever damage I caused.

I had a down to the metal chip on my old car from a weed whacker. The guy stuck it right into a pile of rocks as I drove by - and I'm usually super careful, as in take a different route to avoid. Decided to take my chances that day...

If you lived closer I'd ask you to take a spin by here...I know one of the best in the business. This guy is so good he used to service areas where hail storms are common - you'd never guess the cars had a dent on them. He is the only person allowed to perform this type of work on my cars. Body line, no body line, aluminum, steel, you name it, he makes it perfect without drilling holes or marking the car!

Had a guy out of sako auto body over in Medford take care of it. Came out perfect. I am pretty relieved as it was pretty annoying. Pretty reasonable price too at 150 bucks.

Am I reading this right? Did you pay for the repair? I hope not, should have been the kids parents.

He probably didn't wanna create tension between the neighbors and himself. However, by doing that he can't park where he did because now he has to worry about the cycle repeating itself.

So I was at a graduation party up at my uncles in NH. It was his neighbor. I let it slide and paid out of pocket so I didn't make a scene at the party.

Very kind of you, I would not have been. Yes it was accidental, but I don't think it should have cost you anything. I would have chalked it up to a good life lesson for the kid & his parents. We don't live in a consequence free environment, actions have consequences & we are all accountable/responsible for our own behavior/actions. BTW, just received a phone call from the ins. Co. for the lawn care guy. No problem w/ the estimate, getting it repaired in ~ a week or so. That said, my repair is significantly more than $150.00.
