Based on the 12v connector in the console I am limited to 10 amp or less draw. Is this correct? If yes I am having trouble finding a compressor that fits this criteria.
My dream compressor would also be on the quieter side. Thanks

Is there a better forum or website to post question?

I notice there are a number of views, but no responses. Perhaps I am not asking in the right forum or website. Any suggestions where to get answer. My concern is all the compressors I have seen are over 12A or up, and do not want to blow a fuse.

Im not sure what it is your looking for?

Do you need it as a standby incase you get a flat, or do you have a soft tire that needs regular inflation (in which case probably cheaper to repair the tire)

Most electric tire pumps are noisy - so its kind of a try and see situation.

If your just looking for a regular 12v compressor, then browse eBay, there are plenty on there. If it has a cigarette lighter style plug it should be fine.

Some of the more powerful compressors have croc clips and an inline fuse, so you clip direct to the battery and bypass any fuse/loading issues with your cig lighter socket.

Thanks for your responses. Yes standby for soft tire. However the manual states for the 2016 A6 a maximum load of 120 watts. At 12 volts I think that means 10 amps. Have not seen a tire pump at 10 amps. Alternative is to get one that connects to the battery, but really do not want to do it if I do not have to.
