    Supercharged Badge Placement

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys, I am swapping out the V6T emblems for the OEM supercharged badges but I would like to place them exactly where they need to go. Would any of you fellow S4 owners please take some photos with a tape measure of the placement on the front fenders? TIA

Not necessary. They make an actual template for them. http://bd8ba3c866c8cbc330ab-7b26c6f3...eplacement.pdf

You guys are awesome, thank you! I must be using the search wrong because I tried it but I get so many results using every word I type in instead of all the words being used.

I just swapped out my badges yesterday.

    Here is what I did:
    1. Park the car out in the sun to let the badges warm up. (Or use a heat gun if you have one)
    2. Remove the "V6T" badges using some string
    3. Remove excess gunk using rubbing alcohol and a micro fiber cloth
    4. Print and cut out the badge placement template linked above.
    5. Using painters tape line up the templates and tape them firmly in place.
    6. When placing the SC badges there is a little bit of play since the adhesive is tacky but, make sure you get it correctly placed!
    7. Remove the template and firmly push the SC badge

    Done?

Agreed, ECS particularly has great write-ups!

I tried a few pairs from Amazon and kept getting fakes.

Ended up buying off an AZ member.

You can also find them on ECS.

I just forked up the extra money and got them from ECS to ensure they were the real deal. The dealership wanted $190 so this was a no brainer.

FYI... this seems like a waste of money however I have removed badges before using fishing line and other strings and this was by far the easiest.

Hah, that's hilarious. I used exactly the same product to remove my V6T badges, except I didn't buy it. You know what it is? A short piece of plastic banding strap from a shipping box.

Good luck getting these attached and please make sure you clean it properly before attaching. The dealer took 3 tries to get my Supercharged badges attached correctly on my ordered-new 2016 S4 6MT.

There is no problem with them sticking when cleaned properly. That's sad they couldn't do it. This is probably the easiest thing you can put on the car.

After removing the old emblems with a hair dryer and dental floss, I clean the residue off with mineral spirits. Then wipe down the area with rubbing alcohol. Badges will stick like gangbusters.
