    Adaptive light Defective

Just popped up with an adaptive light failure on my audi's DIC

I've read up a bit when vehicles are lowered it can throw off some metal tab attached to the frame or something?!

my car has been lowered the same height for about 14 months. Strange how it comes on now if it has something to do with the ride height. At first glance there were no bulbs out. I did put yellow led's in the fogs but they have resistors. They too have been in for months

    Anyone have this issue?

could have snapped one of the plastic bars on the height sensor... if so, make your own - replacements are NOT cheap. $200

i want to make some for my lowered SQ, will eventually get around to it

Isn't Technik Canadian for Prestige? Adaptive lights turn with the wheels, while we all have the height-leveling lights.
I just ran codes on an A6 a couple of weeks ago with the same error. It's probably one of the motors that turns one of the headlights.
This of course, will most likely be more than $200. . .just sayin'.

It went in today and there is no damage to the leveling sensors and no adaptive light codes were thrown. It must have been something in the vcds coding that the lights didn't like. My fogs are LED but they have resistors and without the resistors i get a "bulb error" which is common when a light goes out. With resistors the LED lights are not the issue.
One of the tech's thought it might be something with the coding in the comfort module.
...I'll take a look at the wiki page that ross tech references see if a poster can identify the coding issue.

SQive - yes the technik is the higher trim and the lights turn with the wheels.

Its weird that the adaptive system would be affected with the electric steering disable or one of the other things i changed recently.
