    Door handle problems

I've had this issue for the last couple of years and it hasn't been bad but things are getting worse so it's time to dig in and see what's up. My driver's side front exterior door handle has a problem of not opening the door when pulled. It is much worse when it's hot outside or that handle has been in the sun for a long period of time. In the winter time it will open 95% of the time but in the summer it's a struggle. The only way to open the door from the outside is to use your right hand and with your thumb press on the lock cylinder while you pull the handle (see the picture below). I know, it's a strange thing but it works nearly all the time. I assume that there is something inside the door that is expanding in such a way from the heat that causes the door to not open. What should I be looking for in there? I took a couple of blurry pictures with only the door card off of the closed and then open position of the handle but I don't know if that will show anything. What are your thoughts?

Mine does the same thing, I assumed I put something together wrong when I reassembled the door after replacing the speakers. Would be interested in a root cause too.....

The part where the threads are that go into the plastic piece is for adjusting the latch. Most likely the problem is that the adjustment is to long of a pull. Pull down on the ring looking piece and push the threaded part further into it then push the collar back up to lock it. It may be easier if it's removed from the door. But that would be my first place to look.

Thanks a bunch. Yeah, I think I'll pull the latch mech to make things a little easier. I figured over time that something came out of adjustment but I couldn't really tell what to mess with.
