I've been working my butt off for the past 7 years and have finally gotten to a place where I could buy myself a weekend car that I can mod and have some fun with. It took me 3 months, but I found an '08 B7 S-Line 2.0T 6MT with 84k on the odometer to put in my garage. It runs hard and has been babied it's whole life, but I had my buddy at Audi put it up on the lift and go over it. We completed some housekeeping stuff (timing belt, motor mounts) even though everything looked good, just to be safe. So I'm going to do some light modding to it this summer just to have some fun with it a couple days a week to work (up through the mountains) and on the weekends. Plans include:
1. Solo-Werks S1 Coilovers
2. APR stage 1
3. Intake (not sure which yet)
4. Exhaust
I've already purchased the chip and the coilovers, and ready to nail down this exhaust. I'm going to keep the stock exhaust on the car for moving around town, but have a 2.5" electric cutout I'd like to run off the downpipe. So basically, I'd like to purchase an aftermarket downpipe off the stock K03 and bolt up the cutout and then out to the stock exhaust. Has anybody run a setup like this? Is there a lot of cutting? Not sure if there's a more ideal downpipe to run with this setup compared to another. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance guys! Glad to be on this forum and learning a ton.
