2006 A3 2.0T FWD manual - 3rd gear grind

Got another A3, this one manual.
Shifts great, but 3rd ALWAYS grinds (unless waiting for 20 sec before getting into 3rd).
I am used to worn 1st and 2nd gear synchros, but never 3rd (or higher).

Is that a typical issue with the manual in the 06 A3?

Is there any easy 'fix' (short of changing transmission or taking tranny out, crack open and repair (change synchro?))?

Bumping this cuz I just bought an 06 fwd 6spd with the same issue. I’ve read about swapping the ‘dogbone’ And changing the gear oil out.. also considering swapping the clutch hydraulics. Anybody?
