VCDS lowering difficulty

I'm hoping someone has some advice or firsthand experience for me. Picked up a D3 S8 a few months ago and successfully lowered it using my Ross-Tech cable. We'll this weekend I've tried to lower the front just a bit more and I can't get channel 5 available. Even tried setting it back to stock height and channel 5 comes up unavailable when doing the calibration. Any thoughts or ideas?

Do you have a link to the instructions on how to lower it via vagcom? Is it the same as the 402 mod on older audis?
