    that's awesome though.

it's hard to put a price on such low miles when talking about a rare car though. Like I'm sure someone would offer 30k and the seller might bite , but while low miles are nice it doesn't really mean all that much other than there's not quite so many farts in the car.

like a well maintained 70k example is probably going to be just as nice, people who bought RS6s maintained and loved them

that's the cleanest rs6 i've seen it's actually too clean for my taste but i'm not a collector i'd like to drive and mod it. 40k seems to be a fair price though. it's that mint and rare.

You all are smoking. ;-) When the vehicle reaches 20+ that's when the value goes up on an original low miles, no accident, original paint with no chips, dings of any sort and when the car came out, Audi am was able to fetch 5-8% more than list easily. That is the price for a collector. Not someone who wants a daily driver or beater.

Patience would give that person the reward in the end. But that means they wouldn't enjoy the ride! 😏 (See what I did there?)

If I were a collector looking to add a C5 RS that would be on a list almost on it's own. It definitely looks like more than low miles, it looks absolutely pampered.

I've seen examples with 3x that mileage with "mods" for that kind of price. I've seen RS4's with a few small mods in nice condition for that kind of money. They're all on crack unless it's in genuinely pristine condition. This one appears to be and if I had the money and somewhere to properly store it I'd go look at it while I'm up there on business this week.

The market has gotten stronger in the last few years on RS6s. Id say he about right on price.

Wow. True believers here. Sure as hell not where I'd put $40K.

I know mileage matters.....but if I wanted an RS6 of that era I'd stay well within the price range below.

I agree the prices on that link is what I would pay. But you brought to this forum a 'one dimensional' point of view towards a low mileage 40k RS6... (that appears to practically have no cosmetic or mechanical flaws /... $16-25k will not bring that to your door). And that point of view is just fine for those who look at it from those glasses. But with your introduction to those of us who 'see' from another point of view or multidimensional, then you're going to get a wonderful array of viewpoints.

With regard to the 'car'; one can by one to drive, buy one to hold, or buy one to drive & hold. Price point usually varies based on your priority of usage. Happy hunting!
