B7 A4 with Pioneer AVH-4200NEX sounding weak

I had the factory Bose system in my 2007 A4 replaced with the new Pioneer head unit and everything sounds pretty thin. I can crank up the sound and I am not getting much bass even with the low end EQ cranked up. Does anyone have experience with that particular head unit? I'm wondering if it's weaker than then the factory head unit and I may need to add an amp.

How did you install it ? Have you bought install kit or you just connect the wires ?

If you are using the RCA's there are too low. This fixes the problem.
