What color you looking to see? Questions on coatings in general? If you refine and use a Jeweling polish and good sealant on any car they will appear nearly the same. Key on any shine is to refine the polish. Darker colors need depth to really pop so full corrections are key on them. Ask me how I know :)

It's Moon Light Blue Metallic. Curious if the same car parked next to me, would the ceramic coated car pop more in the sun or would look about the same?

From what i understand, the way you get that deep wet shine youre looking for is to make the car as clean as possible. What i mean by that is to thoroughly wash and clay bar your car. Compound and polish if neccessary and follow up with a sealant. Your car is "shinier" bc more light is reflecting off the paint, meaning youve lifted all dirt and contaminants off the paint.

The same. The coated car will "appear" great don't get me wrong. Over time it will abrade and wear as will the non coated one. Coatings are tough but they do micro-mar still. Not as easily but they do. The advantage to them is they maintain a shine and gloss longer than non coated vehicles as they are meant for folks that don't want to have to reapply sealants/waxes or re-polish their cars.

Think longer term vs immediate looks. Are you the type that doesn't want to mess with it other than washing? If so, a coating is for you. I had 22PLE Sealant on mine initially but I like to keep it nearly perfect thus in order to do so I had to polish it again thus removing the sealant.

Truth is once you have your vehicle fully corrected all that's really needed is a quarterly hit with a good jeweling polish. Of course you do need to exercise proper wash/dry technique.

    No coatings here:

Here is an A4 I did a one step on and coated.

Coatings are great if you understand what you are getting. They aren't an impenetrable shield that will stop all marring but they do help lesson marring from microfibers and regular washing. Additionally they provide enhanced long lasting gloss, uv protection and make maintaining the exterior much easier. In my opinion ease of maintenance is the biggest benefit, at most I've had to spot clay a coated car right behind the front wheels, everything else comes off with a gentle wash. Most of your result will come in the prep work before the coating is applied.
