    Parallel Parking

I pride myself on my parallel parking skills, and this might just be the finest effort I've ever undertaken. I wish I had a tape measure to gauge the front and rear space left, post execution. Both cars in front and back of me had driveways on their other sides so I felt safe they wouldn't ding me when they left. The best part is as soon as I got out of my car, patting myself on the back in front of my wife, who feigned not being impressed, a random dude walked up to me and congratulated me in front of her. Dudes know what's up when it comes to parallel parking - my wife is famous for ruining wheels when she attempts!

Damn! That is some impressive parking. Still, even with driveways on either side of the other parked cars I would not risk it.

That's a lot of balls indeed. I have done that in a much cheaper car but I don't think I have a gut to do it in RS7.

Great skills but r u nutz?? Why would u risk damaging ur RS7 like that and why would u spend all that effort to squeeze into that tight of a spot?

If both cars were still there after you come back then you will have to move your car out of that tight spot too.

Just find urself another spot...much easier & riskier IMHO.

Try that without the cameras and sensors in the car...

Personally would never ever park that close to other cars. Ever.

I fondly remember a parking job like that many years ago with my old Volvo Turbo. Crowded urban area (Mt. Adams, Cincinnati for anyone familiar), only space I could find -- tiny, meaningful downhill grade. My three passengers (all male work colleagues) swore I could not get the car into the space. Two cuts only, center of the space, about 8 inches between cars front and rear, 6 inches from the curb.

My passengers were amazed. I just shrugged it off as no big deal.

I used to have a lifted GMC half ton and I came out to where I was parked and experienced a similar situation to the driver in front of you. A C6 Corvette was parked behind me with its front bumper literally underneath my rear end. Beautiful car. I didn't pause for a single second and jumped in, fired up and fcukin backed over his hood for him with my hitch receiver. No other way for me to get out. I wonder if he will ever park that close to someone again. That was a bad day for him.

I would never park my own A7 like that for a few reasons, one of which would be respect for the person in front I'm blocking in.
    Excellent skills though.

the sad part is that OP has ppl actually believing this that car would need to be put into that spot with a forklift, theres less then 2" of room left front and back.

I swear to all that is holy that I parked the car in that spot. It was a 6-point job, and I was probably a foot from the curb, but I ain't bullish!tting. Yes, it was risky on many fronts. But everything worked out.

Living in Seattle I don't trust people. I use garages more than anything now which has caused me to lose most of my parallel parking skills. Impressive job.
