    Flex pipe question

So I just replaced my out put shaft seal and now the flex pips are leaking. The question I have is with the cost and labor involved (exhaust shop wants 300+ tax) could one buy the slip on flex pipes and cut and clamp them one or just bit the bullet and pay the shop. I thought about just welding in solid pipe but I know the flex pipe is there to relive stress on the manifolds when the motor is under a load. The car is just a daily to and from work car with no mods and no future plans to mod it. Just looking for a little input from guys that my have another solution.

I have done both to different allroads, the clamps are fine and seem to be holding up without issue for two years now. The other, the whole exhaust was rusted garbage from the turbos back, so it made no sense to try to save it.
I have a rosstech vcds HEX-USB+CAN Interface and cam lock bar to rent with deposit in the Charlotte area. Like all C5 owners I am looking for local parts!

Very true on that one (rusted exhaust) do you recommend any specific clamp on flex pipe.

My local tuner shop had some on hand, so I went with those. But these should work. Just verify the diameter first, I cut the flex joint off completely and installed these. That is not ideal and may cause me issues with cracking or something else down the road, but it got me past state inspection for now.
