B8.5 S4 Headlight Brighter than Other

How's it going guys?

It's been a long time since I've made a thread about an issue with my S4...so here's what was just brought up to me no more than 10 minutes ago. I was pulling up to my manned gate house, and the guard comes out and tells me my one headlight seems to be brighter than the other. I jump out and confirmed that my left (drivers side) headlight is much brighter than the right (passenger side) headlight. I jump back in the car and proceed to drive into my garage.

As I'm looking at the wall, I flash my brights and can see that the one side is still much brighter than the other, with the high beams on. I cycle the headlights on and off to see if that rectifies the issue, but that worked to no avail... I have the AFS adaptive headlights as a part of the prestige package, and my car is a 2015 with 6700 miles on it. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks in advance, gentlemen...

Well, I was pulling up to my G6 while it was warming up on the tarmac, and the pilot came down to tell me that my car looked fabulous. So... yeah.

I like that...I'll give you that one. It's not as glorious as it sounds...as they leave it unattended with the gate up after 9:30 every night anyway haha.

i'd imagine one side being brighter than the other could be from either a defective bulb or ballast. probably the "easiest" place to start IMO.

The easiest would be bringing it to the dealer since it's still under warranty.

dont they have to prove that the modification was the culprit for not allowing warranty work to be done?

Yeah but if he goes in and they pop the hood and see a different pulley they could manually flag him or if a tech hooks him up to the server it could be automatically done. I would trouble shoot myself first.

If you're at stage 2, then you don't give a shit about your warranty anyway. What are you going to avoid the dealership forever? Take it in and take the chance.

This... a light has nothing to do with a pulley and tune.

Swap the bulbs....see what happens

I'll start with a bulb swap and see if anything happens, hopefully that is all that's wrong (need new bulb and not anything more). I have no problem with taking it to the dealer, as I use a Porsche dealer that I trust. I don't have enough trust in my local Audi dealer to do any sort of work. Will report back with my findings!! Can't get to it until next week, anyway.

and plastdip has nothing to do with brakes squeaking, yet, TD1.
