I'm changing tuner and was thinking if I could sell my current EPL tune/licence so does it have any resale value? Tune is for 770 with GT MAF/72lb injector (maf is not for sale at this point).

I imagine it is of minimal value. If I were using 770's I'd want a tune for the hardware my car has, something like what you've got would just be as a bridge until I could get around to getting my car tuned, so I wouldn't be willing to pay much for the tune.

I quess the point is that EPL tune is ~1500$(?) but if you have "licence" to their tune a custom tune is only 499$. Please someone correct if I'm wrong.

Nah, unless someone has the EXACT same setup as you, it might be worth a touch more than minimal value. ... and each engine has a soul of it's own. It's why it's a "custom" tune. OTS tunes fair minimal price now too as most people want the most out of their particular setup. That is definitely NOT to say that it's worthless... Just that it's worth more to your car than someone else's.

Pretty sure EPL will charge a pretty penny to be able to get support and tunes on another car.

If you sold a complete fueling kit that someone could use, you would probably get better money for that. Since you're not looking to sell the Pro-M MAF with it, that will severely limit your resale price.

A friend of mine will be doing the same thing very soon with his 770 car and he will be reverting to hitachi in a 95mm MAF.

it is worth as much as stock ECU, not a penny more. These days anybody can flash their own tune by purchasing $10 ebay cable and using OTS tune. For tial 770 car, you need to custom tune so yours won't fit anybody's car anyway. Coming to think about it, I am fairly certain that EPL will have write protection on it which will require bench flashing (more PITA for but a few people) and as such, it diminishes the value of ECU even further.
