    Modified front spring perch

Has anyone tried to modify the front spring perch for oem shocks, like you would do on the b6/b7?

The oem perch seems like a good starting point, so I wonder if there is a good reason why someone hasn't made one and started selling them.

Basically, the whole thing needs to be stretched vertically so that the spring perch rests 10-15 mm lower on the shock.

I was just thinking about this the other day and if it can be done would be a very good adjustment to all those who use lowering springs.

The B6 and B7 mod uses a perch spring from B5 to drop the front. So not sure what car we could use one from but would be a really great mod IMO since lowering springs always leave the front just a tad high.

Well, it's really tempting to buy some and cut and weld them myself. Just needs a straight cut, a short sleeve on the outside and welding together.

Problem is how much work it would be to install.
