2006 Audi A6, LED not compatible?

For those who are LED lighting enthusiasts like I am, we all know that the car goes up the sexy scale by alot when we replace some halogen bulbs to LEDs.

However, I have experienced replacing some bulbs to LEDs that are causing a flashing issue. I have tried many different kinds of leds, from CANBUS leds and even installing a load resistor, and still the lights continue the flash. I have seem on the internet somewhere before that if I were to go into the car's computer via VCDS and disable a feature where the car checks all the bulbs on the car. I'm not sure what this code is exactly, or even explain more what this code does entirely, but I read somewhere that this needs to be disable, to stop the LEDs from flashing.

Can anyone provide information on a way to make LEDs compatible in my vehicle?

    Thanks,

    -A

What type of bulbs? Headlights? Parking/Side bulbs? Tails? I replaced all of mine (expect headlights) in my 2009 with LED and never an issue! Of course I spent some good money bc I truly believe you get what you pay for! Used a quality company and very satisfied. Now if you're talking headlights, that's another story - I think any type of LED headlight sucks and won't function properly.

I've had LED in my DRL & fogs without issue (granted the fogs did need resistors added) and all my interior lights and puddle lights have been replaced without problem as well.

Hey could you possibly share which led bulb would be a good replacement for the halogen bulbs for an 07 A6 with halogen headlight and bulbs? I got my interior and puddle to leds

I still have regular bulbs for the headlights but for the inner daylight running lights i swapped out with these and they don't throw codes or need separate resistors.

You do, I have a 2007 A6 as well, when you look at the head lights you have inner lights and outer lights, the inner lights are what are on when you drive during the day and those are the daytime running lights. I'm not referring to the light bar that is in the facelifted 2009+ A6s.

wow. my bad you guys. totally forgot about this post. thank you all for the response. I have tried to replaxe the reverse lights into leds, fog lights into leds, and all have the same behavior of random flashes of light when the bulb is not being used. I have done some research on the internet and seems like the reason for these flashing is that the car does bulb checks throughout the car so it sends small amount of power to each bulb.
