    75K Service

I do quite a bit of my own service on most of my cars, but the Audi was up for its 75K service. This includes belts, DSG service as well as oil, filter, brake flush etc. so I went in to talk to the dealer, as i didn't have the time. Their quote was $1200, but they offered to sell my audicare for $700 which would give me another year of maintenance including my next oil change, and cover the 75K. i've had a tune on this car since new, and had avoided TD1 until now, but the only caveat to the savings was they would finally have to run a scan and I'd be flagged, seemed worth it. This has been a rock solid platform for me, and I respect my local dealer, they've been very accommodating throughout ownership on this car.

Once they do the service if they TD1 you so what? It's only 1 year of coverage and u save $500 on the 75k service...or just have your ecu placed back to stock for the service?

    double thumbin' it!

You're out of warranty anyway so who cares. Can they deny you the Audicare service if you're td1?

No that's what i thought was reasonable: They offer Audicare even though I've always told them the car is tuned, and they still honor the next year's maintenance. Frankly they've been good about never scanning the car before now, but they can't enroll you in Audicare without a scan. As you point out, I'm way out of warranty so who cares. Just figuring I'd give a positive view of my dealership experience, they have been great to work with for 5 years. They did a DSG replacement under warranty at 17K even though I was tuned due to the well known issues. Anyway I'd say if you've never bought Audicare and are looking at 75K with a DSG, just ask, they will sell it to you.....

Audicare is just service and not a warrantee so TD1 is not relevant. If it was my nickel I would buy it for the price your coming out ahead.

Agreed it's just a service, i've just never done it since I didn't want the scan. I just found it interesting that they would sell it to you at 75K and basically discount the hell out of the 75K service. My go-to Indi shop quoted me $1148 so it was a great deal either way....

mine did it too. I purchased the package up to the 45k. They have changed the packages and my SA said people are buying fewer because they broke them out into shorter segments. I got the 55 & 65 and when it comes time will get the 75 & 85. Sounds like they like and want your business which is a great position to be in.

Best part was I gave them a list of the VCDS mods i've done, and they refreshed the electronics (not the ECU) and then reset all my mods (default to individual settings for drive select, push button all windows close remote, higher LED driving light settings, etc.)
