i just purchased an audi Q7 2013 with 54000 miles CPO . i really hate the way it drives it jerks a lot shifting is rough it hasn't been a month and i already took it to the dealer 3 times . first time they said its running fine with no problem cant duplicated fault ,second time i asked for some one to ride with me i showed him the problem he said yes he noticed it as well, he then said i think i know what it is the vehicle stores the way the previews owner was driving it and thats why its acting like that . he then said the fix is to erase the computer that has all the driving data . i came back the next day the shifting is now worst , took it back in got a call was told transmission fluid was low 3/4 of a quart and they updated the computer had the car for 4 days now still feels the same . i called the dealer today and told them still have the problem i was told they can either swap vehicles but they would only do it as a trade in . I'm lost i don't know what to do can some one please help.

I would research and find out what legal options you have based on the fact that your Q7 is a "Certified Pre-Owned" vehicle. If the transmission needs to be replaced to fix the issue, then the dealership should do that. If you do decide to go with the trade-in option and get another Q7, I would stipulate in writing that if it develops the same problem as the previous Q7 within a certain amount of time (several weeks or months), that the dealer must reimburse you for the full purchase amount.

Does sound like a transmission issue but if they're taking care of you with a replacement, don't sweat it. I was in the same boat as you with the all hyped up CPOs they try to sell you off the lot. Went to get my mom a 2013 a4 to replace her old Bmw from the dealer. They talked to her about this great 200+ point inspection on the car and all these other wonderful things that come with it. Usually I test drive cars before I let anyone buy them but I couldn't drive for a medical reason. She drives it for a few months and doesn't notice anything. She lets me borrow it for a trip to pittsburgh and it shook bad at 75 and was all over the road at 95+. It was unacceptable. I took a look at it under the lift and the passenger front wheel was out of place but it had been poorly repaired. Told her to take it back because she was sold a car that was in a crash. They ended up finding the front right suspension had been smashed and had a "band aid" fix on it. They even said it was most likely in a crash, not sure how they wouldn't notice that with the CPO inspection. I don't want to blame the dealer because I know them, they're nice guys, and they took care of us by fixing the car and giving us a set of new tires (which ironically popped while driving through road work three days later so we bought new ones anyway). But all that CPO stuff is not what they say it is. It is nice, but don't let it become a factor on the negotiating table.

But hey, I might have to track that car down, I happen to have an extra trans sitting in my garage.
Just remember, it could always be a hell of a lot worse...
