    Sporadic loss of Boost

    Hey Guys,

I am having an issue where my A4 will lose boost completely.
I have put about 3000 miles on my A4 since getting it back.
I always wait until the temp gauge reaches middle before getting into real boost.

The motor has been rebuilt (overbored 0.5mm, forged IE rods and JH pistons, new camshafts, new valves, block and head decked, new HPFP, cam follower, new oil pump, oil cooler, water pump, timing belt, N80 valve). Turbo is relatively new, maybe 1-2k more miles than I have on the rebuild (so 4-5k miles).
The car also has a Stage 1 GIAC tune. It has had that tune long before I rebuilt it.

During those 3k miles I have had this issue 3 times.
Each time it happens it has been while I'm on the freeway in 4th-or 5th WOT or near WOT during heavy acceleration.
The issue occurs immediately and when it stops it recovers immediately, a very binary change in how the car runs.

The first and second time it happened, I pulled over into the right lane and cruised for a while and it returned to normal.
The last time it happened it didn't return to normal for about 0.5-1 mile. Barely had enough power to keep up with freeways speeds (60mph) on a flat plane.

When it recovered it drove like normal, full amount of power. I have driven it a few times since with no issue.
I did notice after the last time that the turbo was red hot. I was definitely pushing it to test it (WOT pulls in 1st and 2nd gear in the city).

There are no CEL's on but I did see a 00135 sporadic code pop up. I don't know how long that code has been there though, could be from a long time ago.

Any suggestions from past experience on what the likely culprit could be?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

I had something kind of similar for a while and it ended up being the N75 valve.

You need some logs to see what is going on.
What ever makes sense go with the opposite and you got it
