Serious question: Just curious... are these rep vendors trustable? The reason why I ask... back in my high school days, (when I made minimum wage) I would buy Rotas (Volk reps). Randomly people would post about wheel failures.

Is it 100% guaranteed these rep vendors don't have these issues to save a couple bucks? Have things gotten better since then? Just curious.

It is hit or miss Jaboki. There are a few decent reps out there but the manufacturing of these replica wheels has become pretty similar to what you get with most cast wheels. My brother is a industrial business developer and one of the manufacturing facilities he recently sold did wheels in cast for a wide range of companies ranging from no name reps, to some OEM wheels all out of the same facility. I've had decent luck with them in several sets I've used in the past so we shall see.

My plan is to grab the reps so I can step into the 21s and get serious about selling my Vorsteiner. Then possibly order a set of Forgestars or Vossen forged and not have to worry about the wait time.

Tony is correct. I used to run $900 per set wheels on my Tacos that were made in China. And they were great wheels! What's important to me is if they've had them tested/certified. Of course unlike BBS that tests every wheel in every spec, it's at least nice to see a maker take the time and spend to test at least each design. Taken from the company that used to provide my Taco wheels....

As for those fails.... I would never think I could take any random rep and use it for a track wheel. I'd also not assumed I could put 30 series/heavily stretched tires on a rep and beat around NYC without an issue. And I think that is often the case.

Well, today was a good and bad day.....in my never ending quest for meat and a 21" wheel, I continued to hunt deep for either some forged stasis, another set of forgestar Cf10, or some 21" TSW. Yesterday, JACKPOT!!! Found a set of 21x10 et28 CF-10 on 285/35.... I could not believe my eyes! Could it really be??? Turns out it could! A set just like the ones S-Fore had......and they were local! a deal was struck, and for about the price of new forgestar,a I got a set of wheels and tires. Wheels in pretty close to min shape, no damage, curbage, or scratches at all. Wheels are a semigloss gunmetal. Went and grabbed them today. Mounted and tossed in a 5mm spacer in the rear.

Well......I think I have finally given up, I am just not jazzed with the lack of meaty sidewall with the 285/35, and I doubt the 295/35 will make enough of a difference. Although I think it looks nice, I'm still thinking the Vorsteiners on the 285/40 are taking the lead in the personal taste category for me.........

Anyways, nobody cares about what I wrote.......blah blah blah, I now have three sets of wheels, time to liquidate!
