    2009 Audi A4 2.0 T Quattro Sedan Prestige
    180K miles on the body
    98K on the engine.

I was driving and everything was fine until my engine started vibrating between 1000-3000 RPM. If i accelerated above 3000 it would stop. I pulled over. The exhaust became almost smoky but smell like gas. So, I had the car towed. I had the car engine light checked and it said cylinder 4 misfire. It read it twice. I pulled out the spark plugs and the 4th one was covered in gas. I changed the with a new coil pack and spark plug. Same problem. Rough idle barely started. I removed the intake manifold and took out the fuel injectors. I order new ones and a fuel filter. Be here on Friday.

My main questions is: What else could cause my cylinder to fill up with gas if its not the Fuel injectors? I want to cover all bases as I can.

    Thank you for your feedback!

Had same thing on my cylinder #3, was a fuel injector stuck open, smoke from exhaust, misfire

Gas was just dumping fuel in that cylinder, try not to drive it and as a precaution change your oil, the gas is washing your cylinder walls of oil and may be diluting/breaking down oil too

Have had this problem for the past year. Started with your same problems found out it was the cylinder #3 misfire. Checked the fuel injector and of course it was open, letting fuel in. Replaced that fuel injector in August of last year. Now i believe its starting to happen again . At this point I'm just gonna change all fuel injectors and pray that nothing pops again Lol. Getting ready to throw in the towel it seems like like every 6 months i have a problem with this car. not only me but from other threads this happens ALOT.
