RS grill/SQ5 grill options

I'm looking for options on changing out the grill on my 16 SQ5
what are my options -if any ?
I think I like the mesh still -I had it on my S4 -but cant seem to find one on line anywhere....ECS -did not have -other vender -did not have -who else shd I try ?...
Would someone be so kind as to share a link
or are there other options ?

*FYI -I have a blk OP grill I would be putting up to sale or trade **

you can buy it off ebay for sure. they're most likely from china, but they work fine. oddly, the grills are all made to fit the non-sline cars, so you'll need to trim the bottom piece off. search for the thread here about the install and you'll see what i mean. note that you have an option of chrome v. black surround, and also note that some don't come with the rings.

RS Style grills do exist for the SQ5 in many colour combos. Just look on ebay or JC Sportline. I got mine from and installed by a local guy here in Toronto.

not the best pic nor the cleanest car, but here's a pic of my grille with the chrome surround and my ca legacy plate mounted. the grille was purchased from jcsportline in china on a group buy a while back, and the license plate mount was bought off amazon for like $5-7.

What mount is that? I just recently put my plate on with black zip ties, as it's been twice now that I have been pulled over for no front plate. Grills been on for maybe 2 months. No tickets, just annoying to be bothered.

i used some of the hardware that came with the grille to secure it, and doubly secured it with some zip ties. once the plate is screwed on, you don't see any of that ugliness. i forgot who here suggested this holder to me - it's been money!

i originally ordered my car with plate delete. after moving to SF, i started getting tagged with no front plate fix-it tickets. it was become too much of a hassle so i got a new grille and mounted the holder.

Any chance you have the grill with the plate delete still? RS grill looks great BTW, especially with the legacy plate.

i do still have the plate delete grille. just for clarity sake, it's the Q5 3.0T s-line version (not SQ5). i kept it in case i wanted to return the car to stock, but would be willing to sell for cheap if you're interested. it's in very good condition. and fwiw, i'll be in socal next week, so if you're interested, let me know! you can give me a shout at sfmoy29 at gmail.

thanks! one additional not-so-obvious reason to like the honeycomb grill look is that it matches the fog light surround. btw, mine is a non-S Q5. i may be looking to unleash the beast with a tune at some point tho.

Yes, I spray painted the crash bar and my AMS Alpha cooler matte black to make them disappear. The crash bar sits right behind the license plate holder. I think the front license plate, and its license plate holder are an eye sore on an otherwise beautiful vehicle.

Basically what Colby said. I eventually put my front plate on, but really low on the grill as I was pulled over twice in just a short span with the RS grill. Cops can be real pains, for something so minor and ridiculous.

How did you guys add the front license plate holder to the grill? Figure with zip ties that it would be hard to keep the holder level?

Grill has a central mount point molded into it, I simply run a bolt through and a nut on the other side.

So for those who have the rsq5 grill, any problems with paint quality etc when washing it? I usually use a power washer and don't want to damage the finish.

Specifically the jc sport line rsq5 grill is the one I'm inquiring about.
