PLM Heat exchanger group buy

Hey guys is anyone interested in getting the PLM heat exchanger with reservoir system? If 3 of us buy it, its only $800 shipped. PM me if you're interested.

Well I didn't think I would need it, but I live in Arizona and the heat soak is real... The usual price is $890 shipped but I figured I could find 2 other people to go in on this with me and save us each almost $100.

PLM does not use a pump, just a larger reservoir like APR's old CPS system.

I mean I don't think it's worth $1000 extra to get one with a pump. I just want to make sure the PLM system will actually work lol. I don't want to spend the money and have it not cool the car...

FWIW, I bought the whole AWE system without the pump.

Looking at their performance specs here: http://www.awe-tuning.com/awe-tuning...changer-system

You can see the pump offers minimal improvements for the $600 cost.

Once the system is installed if I still experience heat soak I will likely just buy a cheaper pump and wire it in myself. (See the SC cooling technique thread for a list)

Sounds like a plan to me. I don't think it'll be an issue. I think the heat exchanger being almost 2.5x the stock size should be efficient.

No I was just confirming. My buddy is running the plm setup and stock pump with positive feedback. The addiontional fluid capacity along with the larger more efficient core is what will cool the iat's, not the pump. I'm possibly interested in the mini group buy...when is payment due and to who? Plm?

I'm pretty sure payment is due to PLM. And it's due when we find 1 more person.

its been pretty much exactly one year since i installed mine. This price is better than what there were able to offer by $100! a year ago for their GB. Zero issues with mine.

Yes I was going to buy one, and right next to the "Add to cart" button there is a "email me for better price" button so I did it. I talked to someone there and said their current price is $890 shipped unless I can find a group of 3 for a small group buy which would drop the price to $800 each.

Hahaha I told you some of the awe group buy guys would pop in. I doubt they will go much below this price, but you should email the guy back and ask him about pricing on 5-10 kits

If we can get enough people and knock it down to 750 that would be a steal. id like to see some install pics of routing and reservoir mounting before Im in. But you can wire up that factor pump to run constantly when the car is running. Not hard to do.

How does the heat exchanged compare to say the ams heat exchanger. Is the ams heat exchanger still the best one on the market? also how does the reservoir size compare to the others.

The heat exchanger is the exact same size as the AWE and AMS ones. I'm pretty sure the reservoir is larger, but it doesn't come with a pump. I'm sure the AMS one is better but it is also over double the price.

Are you guys in as the price stands now, or only if it goes lower? I guess I will continue to take down names to make it easy when it is time to buy and I will have the PLM guys contact audizine so we can get this rolling.
