Audi A4 B8 7 Speed S-tronic sports Automatic Dual Clutch transmission question.

    Hi All,

I may be sounding a bit ignorant but I figured if I don't ask, I wont learn:

The car I have is the 2012' A4 B8 My13' Facelift, equipped with the 155kw CDNC 2.0T motor (The 2013' models have CNCD motor with 165kw).

I believe the gearbox I have is the; 7 Speed S-tronic sports Automatic Dual Clutch transmission and not the 8-speed Multitroniic CVT transmission. (The sticker in the boot/trunk identifies the transmission with the code; MNA NRW)

If this is the case, whilst playing around with the paddle shifters, why is it that I can only get up to 6th Gear? I have never seen the 7th gear?

    Any input is welcome.

    Much Appreciated.

I have s tronic as well. I get up to gear 6 while in dynamic/sport mode. But when I put on comfort i get to 7. At high speed, turning on cruise control gets me to 7th

Hi HenrikMeister, what speeds are you referring to?
I haven't got the dynamic selection function in mine. But I assume it can reach 7th gear in Automatic?
