Will they fit in the car?

Picking up a set of 285/30-20 wheels for my S5 tomorrow. I have put 245/40-18's in the trunk/back set when I purchased my winter set, but I don't know if the 285's will make a difference in total space?

    Has anyone done it successfully?

You may need to cover up your passenger seat and put one wheel/tire there. I don't think all 4 will fit in the back with seats folded

I have 285/30/20 now.. Ran them on both 20x10.5 ET30 and 20x10 ET25. Obviously also depends on suspension, but stock or moderate drop you should be fine. Actually, I have a pretty aggressive drop setting on air and it's fine. Hope that helps.

    LOL! Re-read Dre.

You'll get them in there no problem Greg.

In the car, not on the car. But, good to know they will fit, since I have the HR Sports. Thanks Dre!

I hope so Mops lol. Doing the same this week when my wheels arrive from you.

I have to load the wheels up and take them to the wheel shop. Than run down the street to pickup my 275/30/20 DWS06 at Sears. Run them back to wheel shop. Get them mounted and balanced. Due to liability they won't install them on my car. So I need to load now the wheel/tire combo back up take home & install. Christ!

This doesn't even include separating my stocks tire I just bought so I can ship them out to the buyer! That's another two trips!

I will be prepared with blankets to cover the seats and well as large trash bags for the wheels. With the seats down there is a lot of surface room, they should fit. I hope.....

Not saying it can't be done all in the back. May have to play some tire tetris, but it definitely can be done with one in the front. Good luck!

I bet he could just rest the wheel on his lap for the return trip?

Hahaha oops! Sorry about that! Haven't slept a lot lately, work deadline kicking my ass...

And YES, they do fit in the car haha. Takes some Tetris for sure, and maybe an extra hand, but they fit.

I fit 265/30/20 in my A5 before. I folded down the back seats and got 3 in the back and the 1 wheel in the passenger seat. Might have been easier if I kept the back seats folded up and put 1 in the trunk and 1 in each seat. It was a tight fit, best of luck.

I had all 4 285/30-20s in the back of my Mazda3 when I picked Scotty's CI-Rs - you'll be fine. The audi has much more space.

I'm going right now to pick up 4 275/30/20 tires to drop off at my installer. I will let you know how it goes. I just put the seats down & there's more room than you'd expect.

I'm a little close to the wheel with my log legs compared to how I normally am. But I'll manage.

Update: Well its a little snug getting all 4 in the rear without playing tetris like some mentioned. It was 90 degrees so i just tossed a blanket on the fornt seat and put the tire there. GOODBYE passenger side visability, luckily i was only going down the street.

You can PROBABLY get them all in the trunk if you did some overlapping. I just didn't feel like crawling in and out of the trunk since i was solo when it was 95 deg outside. Work smarter not harder!

I bet i can get my stock 19" in there with tires, its the added extra surface space of the 20" wheels that takes up that LITTLE bit extra of space. I have seen B8 S4 guys get all 4 in there with the seats down with "19" wheels. You can probably get the 20" in there as well, just need to spend time doing some shimming around.

    Another UPDATE..

OK, they fit, back seats folded down, 2 stacked and 1 diagonal and 1 in the trunk! It was tight. Used a carpet pad and bags. I recommend a towel or two to protect between the wheels that stack and maybe one for the interior sides. Shame only 1 will fit in the trunk?

Also, the 285/30-20's (ET27) fit awesome! I really love the way they fill up the wheel well and the ride is smoother than I expected.
