Hello guys,

I have a 2004 A4 V6 3.0L wth 140K miles. I truly enjoy driving this car. I was hoping to get closer to 150K so I can do its second timing belt change, but unfortunately 2 days ago coolant started leaking from the front of the engine. After jacking up the car it seems that the water pump gasket went out.

I figured it would be a good time to do the whole timing belt, so I ordered parts from ECS. Now, after doing some research I'm starting to believe I'm over my head with this one. I mean, I've changed the brakes, the suspension, intake manifold, the butterfly actuator, PS pump, the cylinder coolant pipe and other things in this car, but never something such as this.
I would also need some special tools to lock the camshafts.

I thought of taking it to the dealer, but they want about $2800. I would probably be able to come up with the money, but i'm still in college so i'm broke.

Anyways, does anyone here knows of someone who is familiar with the 3.0 that can give me a hand with this project. I can offer some cash, VAG COM scan, food, drinks.

Also, any places where I could rent these tools? I prefer not to buy them since I'm going to use them once.

Thanks in advance
