    Question Rev limit and governor on stock ECU

    What is the rev limit and what will the governor stop on a stock ECU? I was told the governor will limit me at 130 MPH, i was at the track and did a run for the fun of it and I was able to reach 140. I am not sure if the ECU has been upgraded or how to tell? VCDS?

    The MPH limiter in EU cars is nominally 155mph, but Audi aren't too accurate (e.g. B7 RS4's will reach GPS indicated 168mph with the stock limiter)

    the S4 rev limit is 7000. i think the RS4 goes to 8000, but don't quote me on that.

    The stock RS4 rev limit is 8250 rpm, but the MRC Stage 2 remap takes it up to 8600rpm.

    Stock S4 will do at least 165mph before speed govener kicks in.
