Just buy a complete set, you will need the other sizes elsewhere. Its around a 6 or 7mm

6mm, but I'm guessing. And yes, just buy a set, it is an absolute certainty that you will need an Allen other than 6mm in the course of your life.

I would also strongly suggest to also buying a Bentley repair manual.

Lol putting mine in was the same way body on top of engine and a bloody knuckle due to the gripping slided on one side and grabbed my knuckle. The B8's are in the trunk sooooo much easier.

I think JHM sells a battery relocation setup for the trunk of our B7 IIRC. I do agree taking out the old battery sucked. I replaced t with an optima red top from Amazon. Heaps lighter than the stock and fit like a charm!

^^That's why I paid top dollar ($170+$75) and let the grease monkeys at Audi to take care of that for me. Once, or even twice during ownership of the car wouldn't hurt. I wasted more money on tobacco and booze in lesser time!

Here you go! And for those looking to replace their batteries as well this kit comes with one better than the red top I purchased.

    Battery removal

    Agreed

I had to do it in the middle of my vacation in November in a Walmart parking lot. Got a few looks and stares lol

You could also just buy a battery handle would make it easier
