Picked up an Oem S4 Exhaust. Few Questions

I was planning on Picking up the JHM DP-Y but supposedly it doesnt work with the apr test pipe.

Anyone here have the b7 s4 exhaust mated up to the stock downpipe with an apr test pipe? I picked one up and want to do :
Apr Testpipe > Oem Downpipe > Y Pipe Adapter > S4 Rear section with Muffler Delete.

    Does anyone have this setup?

This setup will either be used for a K03 with stage 2+ or a K04 Setup.

What do you mean it doesn't work with APR test pipe?

It will work, it's just the APR test pipe diameter is not optimal.

Really? Why do they recommend it for their k04 Kits then?

Because that is the pipe they sell. They also don't push their K04 kits very hard, as our K03 software competes with their k04 performance wise.

Fair enough. Unfortunately i dont think i will be going the jhm route for a tune, My k03 is blown and will most likely be upgrading to a k04. Im not looking to go crazy for power, but somewhere Close to 300whp would be nice while keeping the car reliable.

Hmm well that makes things interesting... Is there a timeline at all? Im planning to replace the turbo somewhat soon. I have a few road trips coming up that want to make sure the car would be ready for.

Ill keep my eyes and ears open for announcements

Meanwhile... Does anyone have a Similar setup posted above? or would i be better off storing the s4 exhaust for later, and just cutting of the stock a4 mufflers? In terms of noise... would it sound like poop?

I would wait and get a bigger downpipe anyways. Especially after installing jhm dp on my car I realized how small ours really are. I have s4 exhaust and I think the sound is perfect not really noticeable idling or cruising but when you get on it the exhaust has a very nice tone.

Im not exactly looking for a nice oem quiet exhaust like i have now (oem with test pipe). , I'm looking for something louder, just not ridiculous.

I would say getting this mated to a proper downpipe is what the car should sound like.... It's not quiet but it's not loud either. It's louder than the stock exhaust, especially if you have a test pipe. It's just not overbearing rice loud.
