Over the summer my car was keyed and I hadn't gotten it fixed since I was afraid that it would happen again. So a couple months ago I decided to get it fixed so I got my esimates and started talking to the insurance company. Well, them my turbos blew about 6 weeks ago and I dropped my car off at McGrath for them to do the work under warranty since it was under warranty, but they denied it and so we were fighting them on it.
Well about two weeks after I dropped it off I went to get some things out of the glove compartment. When I went to my car I noticed that some of the key marks had been buffed out and on the other side it even looked as though it was painted, but it looked like a shitty job. I was curious as to why they would have touched the car seeing that they hadn't agreed to do the work yet so I asked a service rep. I was told that they didn't document my car for damage when it came in and so they must have fixed it, and it was one less thing to worry about. I figured they were right, but the horrible job done kept coming to mind. And after much deliberation over the turbos I just went to pick it up last weekend with the turbos still blown since at this point I was gonna give up on Audi and go with KO4's. I looked at the job done again but it was raining and so I couldn't see anything. I decided I'd come home this weekend to wash it, well I washed it and after drying it guess what, there is paint all over, overspray on the rear windshield, blobs on the trunk, doors and just all over. The part I thought was repainted, was but there are dimples and raised parts as though it was painted with dirt underneath.
I called McGrath and now they aree saying that they never touched the car and it doesn't make sense for them to do a bad job. Now I need to figure out what happened and how. Did somebody take my car for a joyride and think that it was keyed while they had it or what? Also they reason that they denied my warranty was that I exhaust was disconnected when they did their inspection so if somebody did drive it and the xhaust came loose since it wasn't super tight when I brought it in then that person also cost my the warranty work on the turbos. Is it in anyway possible to turn the digital odometer back on our cars cause now I'm checking my milage to see if things ad up. What else should I do?
