This is my somewhat short review of USP motorsports stainless steel clutch line for the S5.

I’ve been driving manual transmission cars for the past 15 years, and I’ve owned quite a few vehicles during this time. It goes without a saying that every manual car is different; the clutch is softer or harder, it releases on different travel distance, the shifters are sloppy or more solid, etc. You get the point. If you can drive a manual it doesn’t mean you can drive it well. Sometimes you have to double clutch, on some cars you have to match the revs to shift smoothly, so it’s all about getting to know your car and perfecting the shifts. This is especially important when going from 1st-2nd, or 2nd-3rd gear.
My S5 has over 100,000 miles and as far as I know is on a factory clutch, not been replaced. I am not the second owner, but the previous guy said he did not do it. So maybe, maybe not. I’ve been driving the car for two months and at least once a day I end up grinding into a gear, or have problems at the stop light getting into first. Sometimes you don't realize the light is green, and then you try to put it in first quickly so you can go = grind. My master & Slave cylinders are new, I bled the clutch but not much help. It has to be pushed to the floor all the way to start, and same goes with shifting. It feels like something is grinding in the pedal, and it is a very soft feeling in the clutch. It’s almost like a fragile feeling that when you press it next time your transmission will end up on the floor, or the clutch pedal will break.
I bit the bullet and bought a stainless clutch line, and it’s the best $70 I spent on this car so far! I completely removed the stock metal line that’s 1 foot longer and bent in 5 different places. The feeling in the clutch pedal is night and day, It feels like the clutch did on my 300zx twin turbo. It really changed the shifting dynamic of the car to a point that the sloppy shifter has absolutely no negative effect on shifting anymore. The clutch pedal feels solid, and when you press the pedal you can feel like you are changing the gear.
I have been driving now for 5 days so far, and not a single time has the shifter grinded into a gear.
If you have a manual transmission S5, regardless of the miles, this upgrade is the best bang for the buck.
It’s a bit PITA to install as you have to remove the wipers, cowls, wiper motor assembly, ECU box, etc.
I’m not associated with their company in any way, but just wanted to leave some positive feedback as the product is really well worth it.
Sorry I took no pictures, lol.
