    My Scuba Blue Metallic

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
My order arrived: Scuba Blue Metallic, Nougat Brown leather, Gray Oak Natural wood inlay, Prestige, Quattro, Sport Package, Audi Beam rings

Coming from a '13 S4, my impression so far:
-Although the B9 is supposed to be a little larger, it doesn't feel larger, it actually feels a little smaller from the driver's seat, I think maybe it's the dashboard configuration or something. It could also be the steering wheel isn't as "beefy" as my S4's was.
-The 4 cylinder is pretty peppy, the car doesn't feel as heavy as the S4's 6 cylinder, overall it feels "lighter". There definitely was more power in the S4.
-Comfort/Auto/Sport changes are not as noticeable as they were on the S4
-Audi did away with the 4 corners buttons that I got used to (since I had memorized which features was for each button - I think that system was better since I didn't have to look down or at the screen to know what I was pushing. Maybe I just have to get used to the left and right buttons as options (reminds me of how BMW has their option button on the right and menu button on the left). There is a learning curve, but I think it'll grow on me.

    LIKES
-There are many more options now than before (i.e. MMI and CarPlay)
    -Preset stations come up first
-I love the virtual cockpit...what I love even more is the color heads up display.
    -Route guidance voice is improved
-The computer (i.e. maps, radio stations etc...) all boot up faster
-The scuba blue metallic paint is deeper and better than the Estoril Blue Crystal
-Folding side rear view mirrors when my car is off (another way to let me know that I've locked the doors)
-Hands free trunk lid feature - although the manual didn't do a good job at explaining how to do it correctly
-Frameless rear view mirror (it adds to the minimalism that Audi's tend to go for)
-Audi MMI app (it tells me whether my doors are locked or not - and I can use the app to lock/unlock them), the status report (how many miles until next fill up, warning messages, the location of my car, geofencing options and others...)

    COULD BE IMPROVED
-The LED turn signal indicators (on the side view mirrors) on the B9A4 are not as bright as the B8.5S4, and I think they look a little smaller
-Fog lights are gone, replacing those are the cornering lights (for inclement weather). Rear fog lights are pretty small (I think it should be brighter)
-No more sunglass holder (although their previous generation ones were too small anyways)

-I'm linking some pictures: a close up of the paint, the interior color choice, and the Audi beam rings....if there's a way to post the picture on this directly, please let me know how. thanks

Thank you. The lease for the '13 S4 was ending, and the new S4 would not be arriving stateside in time. Also I heard it would be more expensive since it's a new iteration...There was a pleasure in having an S (since not that many people had one)....

This is nearly the exact same spec I'm looking to get as well (on the fence for grey or brown on the interior).

How do you like the interior contour door lighting? It's blue in your pics. Can you change the color? Or is that the standard?

Yes. You can change the interior lighting colors....for contour, to foot well etc....
