One of my biggest gripes. Lol. I have tried asking a few people but nothing comes to fruit since everybody is so spread out over the metroplex. We did have the ACNA State meet this past weekend and the group drive was kick ass.

start with a small group first if you guys can. keep it up every week or month. make people know more about your appearance then more people will join. Hopefully we can join up with you guys one day in Dallas.

I'm near downtown, but happy to meet up wherever is convenient for most. The streets down here are, as I'm guessing everyone knows, terrible. I'll put in a weekend preference, as I usually work pretty late during the week.

The Sunday Morning Drives used to be a lot of fun. It's been years since I have been on one.

I'm down for Sunday morning drives. What was that all about?

It was a group of drivers from the NTAG website that would go on drives a few times a year on Sunday mornings. They faded out as more of the drivers got into track days instead. The 1st that I had attended was about 13 years ago. The last that I had attended was probably 5 years (or so) ago.

I did manage to slide off the road and roll my 1st B5 Passat into a drainage ditch about 11 years ago. The lesson learned, "Never follow a Miata into a corner". My 2nd B5 Passat is 4wd, as it used the IRS setup from the A6Q and handles drop throttle over-steer far better than the FWD/twist beam version. Now with a 1.8T and 6sp manual swap, it's better balanced than the V6/Tip combo I bought it with.

PZ. . .I'm in Grapevine too. So, you're the guy that swapped out the manual tranny on the (nearly dead) ACLS forum. I was following that. Everything work out?

I would like to invite all of you in the DFW area to attend our monthly DFW dinner this Saturday, the 23rd. We will be meeting up at Babe's Chicken in Carrollton at 6:PM. You should come and meet some other Audi enthusiasts and bring this up. We're all for it and have been discussing it more in-depth since we had such a blast on the state meet fun run. The drive out to DKC was a real blast too. . .but I ain't admitting anything!

Yes, I swapped a 6sp manual and 1.8T in place of my V6 Tip setup. It's running very well, 25% better mpg, faster with less hp (150hp stock AUG) and handles better. Eventually I will chip it, but I need to install the upgraded clutch first. Too beat to make the GTG, I had to work late today.
